At the Manchester Modern Radio Universe Stuart caught up with Dr Dave Jauncey (CSIRO) and Dr Ken Kellermann (NRAO). They tell the story of the lunar occultation and interferometry observations of radio objects such as 3C 273 (amongst others) during the 1960s. They explain how the object was identified with optical images to show that it was a very distant galaxy - a quasar.
