JodPub London

What?

JodPub is a meet-up of Jodcasters and listeners. The idea is to sit and have a chat with no microphones or recording equipment, just a chance for like-minded astronomy geeks to get together over a drink.

When?

Saturday 12th November, all day

Where?

London! The Jodcast team don't get to visit the Big Smoke very often so there are two parts to JodPub London.

Morning: Trip to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich. Meet at the entrance at 11am. We aim to spend about 3 hours there, including the Sky Tonight Live planetarium show at 12:45. Please note that you will have to pay to get into Flamsteed House and the Meridian Courtyard, and for the planetarium show.

Afternoon: JodPub proper will take place at the Silver Cross in Whitehall (next to Trafalgar Square) from 3pm (we know the pub doesn't have great reviews online but Paul Woods has assured us it is OK!). From Trafalgar Square, take Whitehall (this is the road the National Gallery faces), and in less than one minute's walk, the Silver Cross is on the left hand side of the road.

How will I find you??

The Jodcast team will be wearing our Jodcast t-shirts so that you can spot us. If you can't find us, it's probably best to tweet at us but we can't guarantee we'll spot the tweet immediately!

Anything else?

If you are planning to come, it would be great if you could let us know beforehand. This isn't necessary but would be good so we have a rough idea of numbers. You can leave a comment on the Forum thread or get in touch with us via the usual channels.
